Yoga is extremely popular in Ubud, and is a primary reason foreigners come to this part of the world. There are yoga classes of all types, at all times of day, often with stunning rice field views, as well as longer workshops and retreats being held throughout the year.

Keep an eye on our Events Calendar section for details on yoga, Pilates and dance. Frequent updates for workshops and classes can also be found at the local notice-boards in health-food shops and cafes.

Although there’s plenty to see and do in Ubud, you’ll get the most out of your stay here by slowing down to the farmers’ pace of life. We recommend going to bed early and getting up with the sun for early-morning yoga, followed by a hearty, healthy breakfast. In many ways early mornings are the most magical time of day here, not to mention the coolest.
