TEDxUbud returns on Sept 6th with another amazing lineup of Indonesian and international entrepreneurs, designers, storytellers, and performers sharing their ideas with a curated audience of 300 at Fivelements. This year participants will hear talks on food alchemy, cities built on data, saving batik through mathematical algorithms, bamboo palaces, rehabilitating sex in the porn age, nationalism in design, and the art of the Koran.

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California almost 30 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local,  self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in  a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently  organized TED event.
