The Java Jazz Festival, now the biggest jazz festival in the world, will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2014, and for the first time ever, the Bali Live International Festival in association with the Java Jazz Festival, will take place just after Java Jazz Festival, from 5th to 8th March, 2014.
This prestigious event will feature world famous international acts from the Java Jazz line-up, other International artists as well as the best local talent from Bali and other parts of Indonesia.
‘Until now there has not been a yearly event providing a platform to showcase local talent, as well as attract high profile international artists to perform in Bali,’ said Jed (Ias) Balaskas, the music promoter from Ubud’s Jazz Cafe. ‘We believe that this festival will provide that, whilst promoting Bali and adding attraction for foreign and domestic tourists during the low season.’
The festival will take place in a selection of premiere live music venues around the island, including in Ubud.
‘Our goal is to elevate the music scene in Bali to a new level of recognition and put Bali on the map in the same way that Java Jazz has done so in Jakarta.’ said Jed Balaskas who is organizing the musicians on behalf of Jazz Café.
This vision is shared by our associates on this project; the Java Jazz Festival, as well as numerous organizations in Bali who will support this event, including the Bali Tourism Board and Polda Bali.
Tickets for pre-events will be available to purchase directly from the individual hosting venues in advance and at the door. Festival tickets will cost IDR. 1,000,000 but there are discount rates available for Indonesian nationals and ex-pats.
